I also have a 2011 thai manual that is doing almost word for word what yours is. Boosts to 20 and drops rapidly to 15 or sometimes 10, slowly builds back up. So oven cleaner and a 3in exhaust is the solution lol? I’m so out of ideas.

In an attempt to diagnose, is it possible to remove the vacuum like from the brake booster and plug it? How difficult would it be to brake without the vacuum assistance?

Thanks for the help! So I should probably say that I have changed the MAFS and the NPS pretty recently. The NPS was faulty. I observed the inconsistency on my diagnostics tool. Do you have any idea what values I should be seeing coming from the MAFS and engine load?

I suspected the solenoid and purchased a new one but with no luck. I even tried a friends own, but with no luck. What does the ECU look for when calculating the correct boost?

I suspected this and attached the vacuum hose directly to the boost actuator. The truck boosts to 20 psi and holds no problem. No fluctuations. Could it be something in the software limiting the boost?

Hey again. Sorry for the delayed reply life is a bit busy at the moment. But there’s no flakes at all. All out of ideas at this point. I have also recognised that the boost is also varying wildly at higher rpm. I have attached a video showing it.

The boost reading on my diagnostics tool match the readings on my boost gauge. Am I missing something or would this rule out the MAP sensor being faulty?

Having the same symptoms on mine. I’m also out of ideas. Are you having trouble with cruise control? Heard some people solved the no boost by swapping the neutral position sensor. See if it’s acting accordingly on your obd tool. Let me know if you solve it. Would love to solve this myself.

Hello All, I own a grey 2011 d40 Thai built navara. No EGR or DPF from the factory :) Turbo rebuilt a few years back. Absolutely dead towing or going up hills in first gear :( Other than that I love her. Look forward to troubleshooting and helping others any way I can.

I am having the same problem as CJs. Could you explain how a leaking break booster could cause the boost to drop? On cold start I am getting a hiss from what i think is the booster. It goes away after pressing the brakes and using the truck for a bit.
