The vibration/wobble seems to be first felt through the rear then sometimes, but not always, in the steering. Because the wheel offset is different this may need to be compensated for in some sort of revised settings but finding a reputable and knowledgeable place for that advice is scarce these...

Running 40 as recommended. Think 35 might be better?

Pedders and Bob Jane have both done alignments. The Pedders guys stepped me through the numbers and they are all good, no adjustments required.

Car has had no suspension mods and has only done 24,000 km on good bitumen roads. Vibration is almost more like a resonance which will kick off with a little bit of steering pressure (like a corner or just holding it straight ahead on a high cambered road) at speeds from 80 km/h and up...

Reading here but finding no real definitive solutions other than the balance beads. No one has come back and reported any other positive outcomes. My local Pedders store didn’t think the beads would help much but clutching at straws and will try anything because next step is trade on another...

In the meantime if any one has a photo of these wheels on a D23 please post.

So the D40 ST-X wheels will sit 15mm further out? I guess that difference in offset would create a bit of an issue/stress within the hubs and bearings? The picture I put up are the wheels I was considering.

Do the D40 wheels fit the D23? PCD, offset, widths same? Thinking the D40 ST-X rims to get 17s.
