I think that the supply for the DC motor is not Power 6 gnd 2 but pwr to 6 or 2 & and opposite for gnd. ECU decides which motor direction & applies pwr and gnd accordingly.

Not firm but I had a similar prob, not much if any noise at idle. Lots of noise while driving. Changed drive belt, tensioner pulley assy, checked water pump, alternator etc. Put it into a mechanic, he said exhaust manifold gasket. I pulled the manifold, exhaust gasket shot. all fixed!!!
