    EGR blanking plate

Bit of an update. I installed the plate with no hole. No codes at all. Seemed ok until I drove it for approx 20 mins and then while in cruise control, the cruise light started flashing when I was slowing down coming into a 60kmph zone. I was unable to set cruise again until I cycled ignition...

    Clunk from Park to drive

Thanks for the input guys. I have noticed a big difference now in summer. It seems to do it worse on cold mornings. I have also noticed the handbrake feels a bit worn so will look at it shortly. Cheers

Hi Guys, Sometimes when I have parked the nav on a slope shut it down and start it back up a day later I have a bad sound from the tranny. Its like it stuggles getting into drive. Its when I shift the selector from Park to Drive. Makes a loud clunk. Doesn't happen all the time. Should I be...

D40 STX V6 Diesel Towing Upgrades

Hi Guys, Thought Id let you know what I decided to do so far. I ended up getting a new lift kit from ultimate suspension in Sydney. They used thier own dual rate springs in the rear that are rated to GVM of the tug. Lovells coils in the front. I was a bit worried about how rough it would feel...

    EGR blanking plate

Hi Guys, Just recently installed a new egr valve as mine failed. Seems like a common problem with the STX V6s. I dont want this to happen again in another 50k so I have got hold of a blanking plate. Question is, to drill a hole or not. Seems to be conflicting reports on the forums. Has anyone...

    Dual Battery Set up

Thanks for your input guys. This is the great thing about these forums. I wouldve gone ahead with what I was planning earlier and been none the wiser until later on. So this is the plan now: Alternator goes to a Redarc battery charger (which also has the solar input) which charges the Navs...

    Door card removal

Thats it. Just remember that this is only for the 550s. If your arm rest slopes downwards underneath, it lifts up and there is a screw behind it.

    Dual Battery Set up

Ok guys, this is what I would like my set up to be able to do. Question is, what do I need to do that and what brands are recommended. I currently have a caravan with one small solar panel, 2 batteries and an anderson plug at the towball. Also I am able to charge the van batteries by plugging...

A/C continues to blow air while fan is off

It is with the system off. When the system gets turned off the vents automatically set to fresh air. It is annoying in winter because doing 100kms down the highway spits out more airfloq than what the a/c would on the low setting!

2014 Narava ST Door Trim Removal

Eventually someone helped me out on the navara d40 facebook page. Just for future reference for anyone, the arm rest doesnt require popping out at all. There is only two screws holding the door panel in. One behind the handle and one behind the electric window switches. The rest of the panel is...

    Door card removal

Hi Guys, I know this should be an easy task but how do I get the door card off of my D40 STX 550 Spain built. I have the screws out behind the door handle and under the electric window switches but I belive there is one under the arm rest. All the videos I have watched have different arm rests...

A/C continues to blow air while fan is off

Hi Guys, Just an easy one for my 2013 D40 Spain built, Have noticed that my a/c vents continue to have air coming through them (while system is off) at whatever the temp was the last time the a/c was on. The faster the road speed I'm doing, the more airflow I get I'm thinking one of the...
