hi Juz if the glow plug light is not coming on for a couple of seconds when you turn the ignition on this means it is not pre heating before starting which tells me the relay is not working also there should be a fuse related to glow plug circuit worth wile checking that cheers Pete

Hi Evan Glad you got it sorted i had a chip and throttle control on my STX550 and removed them i really don't think they need it runs brilliant with out them

oh and one other thing if you do order one the gasket is sold separately I think is around $14

Hi Old Tony and Evan yes the V9X does have a SCV its on the fuel pump and your problem evan sounds like it could be that its not a hard thing to change with the write tools you will have to remove the couple of brackets and the intercooler hose to the turbo near the air filter box Navara Parts...

Problem Solved it was as you suggested Old Tony the viscous fan swapped it out and works a treat thanks again for everybody's help fan now cuts in at 97c all the time

I just went out to do that and yep there is hardly any resistance when turning the fan by hand with engine cold
