Got a quote back from npc for their 600nm clutch for the qd with flywheel machined and it was just over 1k plus freight both ways.
Seems like the only decent option.
Was going through repco and did also spot one that apparently fits - UniClutch 900Nm - UC102410. Not sure if anyones looked into...
No catch can for the moment, maybe in future after I sort put the airbox. Right now just venting to atmosphere through a little pcv filter which seems to work fine.
Ran out of space near the fuel filter since I had to put the washer bottle where you'd normally put a catch can.
Going the universal piping kit isn't the best option for fit but for the money you can't argue value.
Wish i knew how to weld aluminium or stainless to make it look cleaner but here's the setup.
Clean rig!
Recently finished fitting an intercooler on mine. Bought a top mount cooler off ebay for a td42 and fitted it as a front mount with a universal piping kit.
Was a lot of messing about but its the largest you can fit with space for a winch. Granted though I had to chop off part of...
Sounds like the turbo is a great fit, it's not too expensive either which is a plus. Will have to put one on order soon.
I've tried finding why my turbo isn't working properly and have ruled everything out except for a crack in the turbine housing - so I guess we can call this a forced upgrade...
How are you finding the turbo and how's the boost early on?
I've got the Schwitzer S1BG that came as part of the denco turbo kit but it struggles to get to even 10psi. It's alright on the highway but not much power overall.
Sounds like a good plan - I reckon i'll have to stick to around 10psi and see if i'm happy with that power level before looking at dumping money into upgraded clutches.
Were the exedy hd clutches not enough for the 20psi mark or are you planning to push for more in the future?
Two mufflers...
Nice work!
Are you running the stock injector pump and airbox?
Getting an intercooler on mine soon to up the boost but wondering if getting a boost compensator on my stock pump and a bigger airbox would be worthwhile upgrades.
Cheers for that. I was looking at the yd25 version of the manual but it never crossed my mind to look at the older ones.
Thankfully no need to go get myself a compression test kit after all. I wanted to do it in the first place cus I kept having this greenish crap showing up on the radiator...
Yeh I suppose I could. Most of the injector lines are a bit rusty on the outside so would prefer not having to disturb them by needing to bleed the system but I'll have to double check if there are any lines are in better shape.
On another point, does it matter if the glow plug adapter for the...
Hey all, I'm trying to work out how to do a compression test on my d22 yd25. Removing the glow plugs seems easy enough but not sure whether there's some sort of cut off switch or plug that I can remove to stop fuel supply. I could just remove the fuel line from the filter but would prefer not...
Looking to do an intake clean on my d22. Its on 170k and doesn't seem like the previous owner has ever had it cleaned or put in an EGR blanking plate. Fairly thick lining of buildup when I took a look through after taking off the intercooler.
I've read what the repair manual says and it doesn't...
