    Shuddering off the line.

yeah cheers robbo, mine is a 1997 model and is still on the original clutch, but since posting this topic its all of a sudden stopped doing it. So, stuffed if I know what it is. I think I might still take it to a clutch mechanic to get it checked over.

ok thanks glc, ill keep that in mind. yep thanks old.Tony, I guess there is no real way of knowing if its the clutch or pressure plate, without pulling it apart.

    Shuddering off the line.

yes this is what I was afraid of 08kingcab. glc, the shudder is not that severe, as in it doesn't lurch and I dont think it would be noticeable to anyone looking from the outside. However I can certainly feel it when driving

    Shuddering off the line.

Hey guys, so my D22 has started to shudder when I release the clutch in 1st gear. It only happens when I take off, so once I'm moving its fine, and does not happen in the other gear changes. It's not happening every time, but It has got me thinking! Does anyone know what the issue is??

    D22 Boost Gauge Install

ok cheers tweake. I might wait a bit before messing with it then. Just seemed that 7psi was very low.

    D22 Boost Gauge Install

ok I'm 99% sure its mechanical. I'm basing this on the fact that about a year ago I decided to run the old girl on half a tank of petrol for about 100km, needless to say this didn't go down to well, and to cut a long story short, it ended up meaning new injector pump, injectors and so forth...

    D22 Boost Gauge Install

So I may have lied a bit . . . . Going up the hills it does get out to 7.5 psi. But Id still like to know if I can safely run it a bit higher??

    D22 Boost Gauge Install

So I hooked the boost gauge into the space where the brass cap was, and went for a drive expecting to see it hit at least 7psi (sticker on the wastegate says 7.5psi), and it barely reaches 5psi, even when i give it some stick???? Does anyone know what I could safely run (without putting...

    Leaf Spring Reset??

    Leaf Spring Reset??

yeah the way I understood it, its a cold re-shape. As in they don't just reset it back to standard, they re-shape them (i.e gives you a lift, past what was standard). The current ones don't 'need' a reset or replacing, but if I want to give it a lift then they need to be re-shaped, I guess its...

    Leaf Spring Reset??

Hey people. I know this issue has been covered before, however, my question is more cost related. Pedders are quoting me $495 to reset the rear leaf springs and wind the front TB's up. This does not include anything else (i.e no new bushes or extra spring). Does this seem...

    D22 Boost Gauge Install

Yep cheers Dave, it makes it a hell of a lot easier for me. I checked with repco also and they have the right adapter also, so it looks like it will be a straight plug and go.

    D22 Boost Gauge Install

Ok cheers tweak'e, good info! Good to know that 2" is ok, as I couldn't really see the point of forking out 400 for an extra 1" lift. Thanks again for the advice.
