D22 YD25 limp mode, pressure relief valve

Still chasing the daughter's intermittent limp mode. I'm at replacing fuel lines and hose clamps in case a slow leak in the low-pressure section is letting air in. Considering fuel pump. She got sick of it and replaced the d40 with an np300, so I need to sort it to sell it and get it out of my...

"Massive fuel leak" error code question.

Could a dud battery (cell shorted, only providing 10.7v) have been causing the titular error code when the battery was beginning to fail? The daughter's d40 has had an intermittent issue with this failt sending the vehicle into limp. The only time I could get it started on the weekend, before...

D22 YD25 limp mode, pressure relief valve

Patrolapart charges a premium on everything they stock. Definitely look on e-buy if you want the "genuine" isuzu part at a fraction of the patrolapart price.

D22 YD25 limp mode, pressure relief valve

Pressure relief valve is a "ball" and spring mechanical setup ... crud stuckbin it would likely give you issues at all time, not just at high revs, as they operate under considerable pressure - a slow leak through the PRV while running is likely to trigger a P0093 mass fuel leak error code...

Help. Algae in fuel. Thai build 2010 D40 Navara

The primer bulb gets quite hard to press once the fuel pressure gets up - if the release was stuck open, this wouldn't happen. If the bulb remains easy to press, there will be pressure being lost somewhere.

    Fuel pre-filter. Necessary?

Given an intermittent P0093 fault code, I am also looking to eliminate possible failure points ...

    Fuel pre-filter. Necessary?

The daughter's nav has a fuel pre-filter/water separator mounted down on a chassis rail. A quick google says it is used on massey ferguson tractors. Having purchased a standard filter in advance of a planned filter change, I am now wondering whether we should just bypass the pre-filter until...

    Another D40 P0093 code question.

Has only caused issues twice since last post, so seems to have settled down from what was a daily issue since replacing the scv. Once primer bulb pumped up and over pressurized, cannot see any leaks, but can hear what sounds like an air/liquid leak up near the fuel filter/primer bulb. One hose...

    Turbo trouble

I bought an expensive Repco stock brand bcs when first diagnosing my daughter's turbo issues - d.o.a. but didn't work that out until we actually replaced the turbo which was on the way out (bearings were going, restricting the max speed it would spool to, and vanes just starting to contact the...

    Scan tool

OBDwiz. I can't attest to the expanded functionality, as I haven't needed it, so haven't paid for it.

    Scan tool

More to do with the supporting software. Free software gives you the basics. Fir deeper things, such as ABS diagnostics, and I might guess, transmission temp, need to shell out for "professional' level software. What I am running on my laptop I think wants $60-90 for Nissan specific full-depth...

    Turbo oil feed

Top inlet is a coolant feed. If memory serves, comes from a thermostat housing or thereabouts on that side of the engine. Only the bottom feed is oil (the bugger to do up again when replacing the turbo).

    Another D40 P0093 code question.

Have replaced scv ... faster fire when starting, more responsive throttle and higher baseline fuel pressure, but has still gone into limp on one cold start since. Stop and restart solved. Will check fuel lines this weekend.

    Fuel Suction Control Valve?

    Another D40 P0093 code question.

Been struggling with a P0093 error and limp mode on cold start for quite some time. Replaced pressure relief valve some months ago which seemed to settle it for a while, but now the weather is colder it has raised its head once more. Threw some injector cleaner in it a week or two ago and it...
