Ok so ive searched for a fair bit and can't find the answer to my question. In practical terms, what is the difference between "durablend" and "durablend diesel"? The valvoline website recomends either for the zd30 engine, however only the "durablend" is available from my local supercheap shop...
Gday. Would any body be so kind as to measure the height of their tray (not tub, tray back only) from the ground on their d22 dual cab? Could you also add whether or not you have lifted springs or bigger wheels etc. will be getting a tray soon for mine and just trying to work out how tall of a...
Yeah the track out of kingfisher is a lot more serious than i thought it would be(its our first time over here and was expecting tracks to be a fair bit milder). I was speaking to a bloke today who said he'd helped recover 5 cars and that even the tour buses were doing it tough. He also said...
Thanks for the replies. Still in two minds. The inland tracks are pretty tough going at the moment, just due to the lack of rain and very powdery conditions. Got bogged once yesty and also assisted three other cars bogged inland throughout the day, so 2wd is not an option. We did get a shower of...
G'day all. Am after some advise regarding the integridy of the cv joints in the first series d22. I have arrived on fraser island late yesty, staying at kingfisher resort for 6 nights and had planed on doing day trips around the island with the wife and 2year old. However after our first...
cheers Andrew, sounds like the pre-spinner is still used with an air-tec.
This worries me because it does not look like the pre-spinner is fully sealed and such could still ingest water during a deep crossing.
I wonder if it would be ok to fit an air-tec and modify the plumbing so it bypass's...
Any body fitted a tjm airtec or genuine Nissan snorkel to a 3.2 diesel Navara (or any D22 would be ok too)?
Does installing require removal of the "pre-spinner" unit of the air filter system?
I know that this unit is discarded with a Safari snorkel (found fitting instructions online for safari...
dave, where did you get one for $320 if you don't mind me asking? also does anyone have a pic of a safari snorkel or a Nissan snorkel on a 1997 d22 dx 3.2L(or similar)? Am thinking about getting a snorkel and am trying to decide which looks better on my model nav.
well i put the new springs in late last week. back sits about 3" higher than it was i reckon and i wound the torsion bars up in the front to within about 5mm of the bump stop. Looks good, the ride is a fair bit firmer but i wouldn't say that it is too harsh. The shackle angle is pretty much...
Thanks for all the input guys. Will, your springs and shackle angle looks very similar to what mine does. Im gona order some of the maxi-trac springs today, will probably put them in later in the week and i'll let you's know how they go.
