I dont need to take the gearbox out, just not sure if there is enough room to slide the engine forward to clear the gearbox shaft. Clutch is reasonably new so that should be OK.
I need to get the yd25 engine out of my 2007 D40 (broken crank). The manual says to remove the gearbox first.
Will the engine come out without removing the gearbox (MT)?
I had another problem with similar symptoms a few weeks back, turned out to be a split in the hand primer rubber letting air in. The mafs has been fine since I cleaned it.
I had a similar issue with mine, turned out to be an electrical connector not making contact on the transfer case. I managed to fix by pushing them all in properly.
Good Luck
Thats what worries me, there is a lot of energy with the potential to do a lot of harm if something lets go. Im not sure im keen to put a weak link in as it could kill someone if it lets go.
Just fitted a 12000lb (5500kg) winch and have started looking at the rest of my recovery gear, and what it sould be rated to to use safely. Im starting to confuse myself as to what is safe.
My bow shackels are rated between 3.2T and 4.7T.
Looking at winch extension straps, a lot of them are...
Id think is should be stronger directly on the bar too as the force would be pulling the winch into the bar, not trying to pull it off its mountings (shear force on bolts).
