Lately I have been noticing an odd smell when I use air con. Since I think I have located source, I haven't used it.

Make sure you are not buying a pack of trouble. If you are not a mechanic, get it checked thoroughly by someone who is.

It'll be a cold day in hell before Nissan fix anything. I have a little warning device called "Engine Guard" You can set it to warn you when any particular temperature is reached. They are not expensive and will save you $10k. I took a pic but can't work out how to upload it.
Seems to be that the manuals get better fuel economy. I get 9lit/100k most of the time. D40 2.5 litre. Not that you would sell an auto I guess. I am old school and been driving manual since I got my licence 60 years ago.

Who can suggest a quality heavy duty clutch for Navara D40 Spain 2013?
Mechanic has quoted $2,500 plus labour.
This seems excessive and I think there would be a good drink in it for him.
Don't want cheap shit though.
Today my mechanic told me a remap would give such a great power and torque increase, that I would need an upgraded heavy duty clutch.
Is this true or is he pulling my chain?

Egardless of what old mate says, get your radiator checked. Even replace it, they're not expensive, and will stand you in good stead for a few years.
