Bods, sorry, I thought I had posted it in the D22 forum. Anyway, from what you say it sounds as if there is an issue, maybe just an electrical fault but something to be checked out. Thanks for your reply.

I have recently observed that when I put my D22 into 4wd high range, the green indicator light goes out. It stays on whilst in low range. Is this normal? This is the first time I have used high range, I don't do a lot of 4wd'ing.

This is a follow up question to an earlier one. The answers previosly provided have brought more questions to my mind. Caveat, I am a newbie D22 Navara owner and know little about 4Wd'ing
1. What does locking the front hubs actually do? Lock the front wheels to what?

For curiosity, why not? Does it cause damage to the navara? Is this a general issue with occasional 4wd? Excuse my ignorance ut I know next to nothing re 4wd'ing

Thanks for your reply. I am confused by your last statement though. What do you mean by towing and reversing a caravan on the black top and then doing his in 4wd with front hubs locked? Do you mean I shouldn't use 4L with hubs locked whilst towing?
