Will d40 front struts fit a d23

Hello
I have a 2017 np300 needing front shock absorbers , couldn't find any d23 parts here where i live , so my question is , will the d40 struts fit just fine ?
They look the same but parts numbers don't cross .
Has anybody put d40 struts on their d23s ?

I've never heard of this happening. They changed the suspension in the D23/NP300 (radically so, in the back). Looking at shocks on eBay for the NP300, they appear to be fairly similar to the D40 units. Here's a couple of eBay items for you to compare:
