I am considering building up a Navara D23 ST getting a tray, and using something like a either a alloy gull winding door canopy or maybe a 3XM Fleet series canopy, on a flay tray.

As I am consider a tray, getting rid of the tub, it will give extra clearance at the rear of the vehicle.. Now considering this I would like to work out which "after market" or factory Tow Bar will give me the maximum clearance and be most suitable for a tray setup. Does anyone which tow bar would give me the best clearance?

If you look at this thread you'll see the bar I had made about the fifth post on page one. Is that what you were looking for?.

Custom towbar -- interesting, where would one get one made, and would it be compliant to tow 3.5T?

I see that TAG towbar make a towbar kit to suit Cab Chassis models and they appear to be selling the kit on ebay for $470 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TAG-Heavy-Duty-Towbar-Kit-3500kgs-Nissan-Navara-NP300-Ute-7-15-on-/331679463906

Now would anyone know on the coil sprung models would they take the Cab Chassis version Towbar? -- as the Cab Chassis version NP300 are leaf sprung and the Tub versions are Coil
