Truck not selecting gears

Morning chaps my navara has a issue it's not selecting any gears when I put it into D R 3 2 1 all its doing is just reving it selects the park gear and neutral as I've just rolled it off a set of ramps my friend has been working on it recently he's drained the Transmission fluid removed the valve body and cleaned it he used brake cleaner to clean it which I've only just found out will this have fried the tcm and the valve body and when it was refitted will it need reprogramming hope you can help
