386000 plus kms, well serviced and I drive it like an old man. Cruise control install was a good idea, did a trip to Perth a few years ago, got it too 2500rpm in fifth and pressed the cruise button. Smooth sailing all the way. Bloody annoying for others though lol. No major issues….so far…touch wood!! Getting a heap of preventive repairs done at the moment, Turbo, egr, timing etc etc. Recently had old man emu suspension upgrade. Great solo camper. No tent required. Would be hard to replace this vehicle these days without spending a fortune on a cruiser. Fingers crossed for a few more thousand kms.

Nice rig mate. 370k on mine, still good. I have been saving for a new bus when the inevitable happens but then I think $60k on a new one or $5k for a new inj pump(likely problem)?
I have aircon, power windows and steering with an economical diesel. Comfy enough in the front seat for me 😁

I’ve thought the same regarding $60k vs $6k. Seems like an easy choice. More than happy to spend some dollars to keep it going, especially seeing as I inherited it rather than bought it. The cabin in mine is ‘agricultural’ to say the least. Bench seat is a shocker when it starts to sag, kills your back. Thinking about buckets but tried a dodgey fix first, cut the side open, inserted some green foam and sewed it back up with seat belt thread. Another bit inbetween frame and seat on the back rest. Much improved. Cheers

When I am having a drink and the wife drives my Nav is when I when I realise that my seat has done 370k and the passenger seat maybe 100k max😂
Easy 2/3 of my driving is to and from work by myself
I do love your seat hack sir😊🙏

Boogieboots, I sat in the passenger side of mine the other day while doing the heater fan/resistor and really noticed the difference. The seat hack has worked pretty well and keeps the ‘agricultural’ ambience. lol. Green foam is a bit hard though, (had it left over from another project) the yellow stuff might be more cushy.
