Hi, I am considering buying a pre-facelift D22 king cab, however the truck has not been taxed since like 2015 and has not been sorned. My question is if I buy and tax it will I be charged from the date the ownership transfers or from the date it was last taxed?

I'm guessing that you're in the UK, as we don't have road tax here in Aust? If so, probably best to ask the Q on the UK forum.

Here in SA, you'd have to pay a nominal penalty amount on top of the cost of registering it, but that probably doesn't help.

Assuming you mot it, you will then need to tax it to use it on the road. The tax starts when you complete the online application.
