Tacho install - where is the distributer on 2.7L navara 1998

I'm trying to locate the positive wire from the distributor to hook up my tacho

I can't for the life of me figure out where it is. Can anyone give me some guidance?

1998 navara 2.7 diesel non turbo.

well first of all there is no distributor, its a diesel.

the tacho sensor is on the diesel injection pump. however good chance it doesn't have the sensor, in which case you will need to find a replacement that does. also you will need a diesel tacho, either an original instrument cluster or one of the few aftermarket diesel tacho's that exist thats adjustable.
