rattle in car

my nissan navara 2012 d40 spanish built has got a rattle when under revs . i am wondering if anyone would be able to suggest what could be the problem, turbo or what

It's really difficult to say without a bit more info.

Does the rattle get faster exactly in time with the engine speed, or vehicle speed (you'll notice this difference as the gears change) ?

Does the car still perform well, or is it rather sluggish now?

Is there any really noticeable (large amounts) of smoke? What colour mainly (black, blue white or grey) ?
