OEM 2020 st headunit to 2018 upgrade question

someone wreaking 2020 Navara ST and selling the head unit, I am thinking to buy it hopping I can upgrade my 2018 Navara ST to apple car play
is anyone here can confirm that will work ?
I went to auto-electrician " Northfield' and they said NO and try to sell me after market one "Alpine" for $1800
any advice would be appreciated
I am desperate for Apple CarPlay
