Hi guys, I have a Nissan Navada D23 (biturbo) and I would like to know if anyone of you have ever tested the max rpms that you can reach on each gear? Recently I noted doing some sand off roading that my RPMs automatically drops on 3rd gear when reaching 3700rpm or so, I remember some time ago I was able to reach the red lines (4500 rpm) at will. Now If I push the accelerator pedal to the botton revs don't go over 3700 or 4000 at most in any gear, seams like a ECU protection or something like that. I also tested this on highway and is the same.
I check the engine coolant temperature and is ok, around 83C and intake temperature goes from ambient up to 60C on heavy load, usually stays on 30C.
