hi all I have a 2013 nissan navara d40 ST Spanish built and wanting to replace the head unit and controls ie A/C controls with a navara d40 550 head unit and controls similar year.. would it be possible?

If it's the same year I'd think you'd be able to do it. Variations in some models will cause problems.
For instance: we (yesterday) tried to fit the climate control unit from a 2009 Pathfinder into our Navara.
Problem #1: the fan control was only available by using the "Rear fan" switch, because our Navara only has large blade connectors for the front fan, but the Pathfinder only uses large blade connectors for the rear fan.
Problem #2: At any temperature above 18.0 degrees it would bring the heater on, at 18 degrees or below it brought on the cooler, which means it wasn't adjusting the doors properly (26 degrees outside, 25 degrees inside the car).
Moral of the story: be careful with the units even in the same year.
I should add: I've not seen (anywhere) a Climate Control module that actually fits the 2009 Navara. Many state "suitable for 2005-2015" but this is very inaccurate. I have one here from 2012 and it will not fit (it won't control fan speed so we can't test anything else).

Hi i like your post, i too am trying to do the same. Ive got the full centre console with the navigation system that im trying to fit. I contacted Nissan uk directly for assistance and they could only assist providing that i signed up and paid for the information. I dont have a problem but i needed to be a member of the trade who is vat registered.
I have the complete console including plugs with about 12 inches of cable on them that i want to wither splice or new harness

I have a 2010 d40 that the previous owner had installed a kenwood head unit on.looks great, big sat nav/reverse camera screen and all steering controls work.
