New member from Mongolia

Hi all,

thanks for letting me in.
My name is Peter and I am originally from Belgium.
Last year I moved to Tsonjingboldog / Mongolia.
I am now driving a 2004 Navara D40 and a Volkswagen Touareg.

There are several problems with EGR, hard starting...
I hope to solve it with this forum.
But I'm going to check everything first.

Hopefully you'll find some answers. Do they have strict emission control laws in Mongolia?

Thanks Tony,

I went to the technical control in Ulaanbaatar once with my VW Touareg.

There is control, but they don't know emission control.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are cars that drive around on coconuts. (joke)

^ Oddly enough, while it bears a Spanish VIN, it has Thai guards and mirrors. I don't recognise the bar on the tub either.

Funny how they put things together differently for different countries!

Hi Tony,

in Ulaanbaatar (60-70 km from my home) there are 2 private garages working on Navara and other SUV.
One of them imports Navaras from all over the globe and fixes them or uses them for spare parts.
Hence the different parts.
I had a quick look at the pictures of other Navaras yesterday and haven't come across any with a bullbar like mine.
