Hi Guys, my navara wouldn’t start so I scanned with OBD11. It came up with code P0335. I put a new Crank angle sensor but still wouldn’t start, I tried another new one and even changed the cam angle sensor but still no luck, I keep clearing the code but each time I try to start my D40 the code comes up again. Checked all fuses in the ecm and fuse boxes but nothing is blown, is there a fuse for the crank angle sensor I’m missing… I’m at a total loss due to this code continually coming up and changed the sensor twice.. please help.. D40 2.5 Diesel

My mechanic was tidying up the 5 signal wires on the throttle body that go to the fuse box, that’s all, then he tried to start it but it wouldn’t that’s when he scanned it it it had the P335 code, I bought a new one and he put it in, still won’t start and each time you clear the code it comes back up when your try to start the engine, try’s to start and can smell the diesel coming through but just won’t kick in 😥

I was hoping it had blown a fuse somewhere but checked them all, now on Google they say there may be a 5 amp fuse in the ECM but I can’t see one

If you can smell diesel, the injectors are opening.

Is there even a cough when turning the engine over or not? If it's giving a cough but not continuing to fire, the EGR might be flooding the intake. Depending on the age of your vehicle, you might just be able to block the EGR completely (2012 or earlier) or you can put in a blanking plate with a small (8mm) hole in the centre to satisfy the flow detector.

If there's no cough at all, look for blocked air passage, including checking inside the intake manifold for a cloth left there to protect the manifold from extra debris but forgotten during assembly.

Diesels are simple beasts. They need fuel, air and compression. They do like assistance from the glow plugs now and again, you might check that they're getting power. They should be "on" at any time the engine coolant is below about 80C.

Did you drive your nev to this mechanic, they worked on it and now it doesn’t start? Also what did they do to the wires to the throttle body?

He installed a Nissan Navara 2.5 dsl D40 into my pathfinder, but the pathfinder loom throttle body connector is a 1inch square plug as factory with 5 signal wires, but the throttle body on the installed Navara engine connector is an oblong 5 wires so naturally the connections are different so the loom end square won’t go into oblong connection. Different wire colours too. I spliced the loom wires and connected them to the throttle body connector and the engine started ran lovely but only revved to 3000 revs and won’t go over 40klms per hour, the mechanic thought it was just using the Turbo power to get those revs and the throttle body wasn’t engaging right, after putting it on the hoist he checked for additional connections that may not be hooked up underneath he took it down and now it won’t start, the 2 codes I get are Fuel pump P1275 and Injectors unregistered P1622. There was another few codes but I cleared them and when I tried to turn the engine over I scanned again but only 2 codes coming back upE3DD3A05-9410-422D-A701-6FB1757B3C5A.jpeg
