Hey guys. I bought this Nav stock from a dealer in September 2020. Slowly building her up. Just took her out on her first proper tracks in Bunyip state park and I was very impressed with how capable it is!

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Make/ Model: 2004 Nissan Navara D22 (currently on 177xxx kms)

Mods: HPD oil catch can
Wheels/ tyres: 16x7 sunnies, 255/70/16 centara adventure a/t
Suspension: Stock height
Body: Nissan genuine alloy bullbar, Roadsafe front recovery points, roof basket, dune awning, genuine hard lid tonneau cover, D shackle recovery hitch, painted sports bar black

Next mods: Have purchased a 2inch RAW suspension lift which is delayed and won't be delivered til May, also about to put on some ebay wind deflectors/weathershields

Future mods: Front bash plate, 9inch spotties

A little update:
Upgraded suspension - RAW shocks in the front and back, formula 0-200kg leafsprings and formula HD torsion bars. Front hubs to wheel arch measured ~47cm, now sitting ~56cm. Back hubs to wheel arch measured ~52cm now sitting ~56cm. Major improvement in ride comfort compared to the stock shocks.
EGR blanked.
Kings 9" spotties wired up, super bright and no issues with them so far.

Next up: Snorkel, replace idler arm and pitman arm

Nice, and low Kms. My recommendation is for a remapped ECU. I got mine from East Coast Performance but I was looking at D22s on Gumtree today and a few had noted having a Jamie Knobel remap. Massive improvement for me
And EGR block if not done, though my remap disabled it

The best single off roading mod for the money is a front auto lokka.

This can't be emphasised enough - even for the D40.

Both cars run a smaller "open" diff, not LSD up front. If you lift a front wheel, which we've done ourselves, the lifted wheel will spin freely while the wheel still on the ground will maintain its grip and not turn at all. When the spinning wheel makes contact with the ground again, the energy of its spin will transfer inwards, breaking either the axle or - as we've seen happen to people on this forum - crack the front diff in half. That's cause for a trip home behind a tow truck.

If you still have an LSD on the rear you can semi-emulate a locker there by gentle application of the handbrake, but you can't do anything for the front.

Little update on this build, over the last year or so have added:
Snorkel (from OCAM)
3inch PPD exhaust with cat and little resonator
Steel bar, side steps and scrub bars - got a good deal from the wreckers. Great condition except one scrub bar is a little bashed in and needs a lick of paint.
New tyres - 265/75/16 BFGoodrich KO2s

Also just crept over 200K kms so had a major service etc.

Future plans - new tie rods as one has a rounded nut and its making alignment difficult, front mount intercooler eventually, ECU remap to suit exhaust and intercooler
