HELP…. lol
Guys need help.. I’m an old member, old in years as well lol… not been active on here for a long time, even had to sign up again 🤦‍♂️
Anyway the old girl has been Faultless in the last ten years I’ve owned it… Done a few mods, suspension, egr, remap… normal stuff….
Life has been good… but. !
Got home from work Saturday… was running perfect…
Never turned the key till Monday…
Cranks over perfectly… no fire…
Primer seemed a bit soft.. pumped it up… firm as a rock… nothing…
Bought a new primer with fingers crossed….. new filter….nothing..
Scanned for codes… 73 I think it was.. harness to the pump… visually fine, continuity… fine..
Religiously changed oil and fuel filters every 5000-7000……
So there’s the background…
My guess is injection pump..?
Am I on the right track.?

Code doesnt sound good,
Same thing just happened to my sons Navara, we also fitted new primer checked everything, in the end yes it was the IP.
We got EVERYTHING lined up, [ dont forget to lock scissor gear ] removed IP $2,300 for a rebuild.
I refitted pump by myself which I was glad of as I could do it slowly and quietly by myself and recheck all the timing marks etc.
Then together we refitted all other bits and pieces, all good now.

If you do it yourself [not that hard just need to take extra care of timing marks ]
The "cc" marks on the pump gear and scissor gear, and TDC mark only alligne at the same time about once in 20 turns.
