I have noticed that all Navaras imported from Europe has the headlights permanently on (lights stick OFF fog lights OFF )

once engine starts they go ON day/ night.

even when it's on AUTO it is airways ON.

how can turn em off. and use AUTO option?

MINE IS D40 V6 2012

On my V6, (2014), the lights are always off on the OFF position. Switch it to AUTO and the lights come on when it gets dark.

I know in some European markets such as Sweden the vehicle is programmed so the lights are always on.

It would suggest that you have a fault that always turns the lights on.
You haven't covered up the sensor on the rear view mirror? Or has the screen been replaced?

no I did nothing . imported from Spain and it is always ON on all positions.

it seems programming thing.

thx dear

No, it's not a programming thing unless your vehicle was built for the Swedish market.
Is it left hand drive?

I gather it is a left hand drive vehicle. As to why it's doing this I'm not sure. I do know that lights are controlled by the BCM. So it may be a programming issue. If so, not an easy fix.

As landmannn mentioned it maybe something to do the light sensor in the mirror. Hopefully, as it would be a lot easy to track down and rectify.

Good luck with it.

Hey does anyone know where the reverse switch is on a auto 2.5 cheers

Yes left handed

I'm sure you have probably solved this by now, if your car isn't meant to have the headlights on 24x7 and has just started recently, it sounds like a bad relay. It might have failed in the 'on' position.

Not solved . Its an addition not an electrical failure

Because i see most of imported used car to my country has the same. Lights always onnnnn

Well it's definitely wired like that.

More than likely the headlight relay has the input from the ignition, you will need to change the input to be from your headlight stalk in the car.

If your Stalk doesn't have the option of headlights, wire the input to be from your parker globes (the T10 globes). When I say input - this does not mean wiring your headlights directly to them, it means using that + wire as the signal for your headlight relay.

This means they turn on with your parker globes, but gets you to where you want to be I guess.

With very basic electrical knowledge and some google on how relays work, you'll be able to easily do it..

Thanks . I will translate that to the specialist . Then well see if he can do it

Another thing might gives more info.

Lights go on once i starts the engine so i guess BCM also has sth to do with it

Hi i have checked the fuses f10 f11 f12 are not connected it is good fuses but gives NO signal
These fuses are for fog lamp, h/LAMP.

I couldn't find a relay for h/lamps

Any clue?

You might be right, it might be controlled by the BCM. Did you check all 3 fuse boxes?

If it is definitely by the BCM, then you'll need to manually wire in a relay specifically for the headlights.

The diagram I attached shows what you need to do if you really want to do this.

86 - positive wire from your Parker globes to be spliced (this is the signal wire)
30 - self explanatory
87 - Positive wire to each of your headlight globes once you've cut the existing wire so no more factory signal can go to them.
85 - wire to any part of the chassis of the car for an Earth connection.

The fuse is there to protect the wiring, it would always need to be used.

Sorry mistype

But why the headlampz fuse is NOT giving signals?I tested while headlamps on but it showing a connectivity

You would need to check the wiring diagram specific for your car mate, there will be a fuse for them somewhere and might be labelled differently.

It is there but electricity in them

Hello NN my 550 has factory fitted auto headlights, there is a light sensor on the dash that turns them on and off, it is very sensitive
Nissan moved the sensor because I have a dash mat to stop the headlights from always being on.
in the garage the Headlights are always on in start up
I will post a photo of sensor tomorrow
