Sorry for not getting back to everyone, i've been on to matty, he's in Brisbane working on his hilux (yawn).
We really need someone in brisbane area to volunteer to drop round and get measured up for an hour, if no one can looks like i'll do it myself but its a bit of a hike to get a good price happening for everyone (and I might wait until mackeral season is pumping around coffs!).
I'll post up on here again soon.

Hey Fella's,

Matt here from Monster Rides, new to this Navara Forum and pretty impressed so far with the vehicles and information on show.

Thanks to Justdrinkbeer for the introduction, looking forward to getting some products happening for the Navara's in the coming months.

So, a few things to get on top of before we go anywhere.

Firstly just a quick bit of background on Monster Rides... We started as a vehicle brokerage company that specialised in selling new trucks kitted out with all the accessories you want, then we started in some product development and now we kind of combine the two. So far we have been primarily a 05+ Hilux focused company, but now that we are at the end of development on these trucks in terms of new products we will have some time towards the end of this year and next year to look at some other trucks like D40's and D22's.

Here are some images of the bash plates we have done for the Hilux's.
We partner with Buds Customs to bring these products to the market.
BC's is one of the best fabrication companies in the country and produce products of exceptional quality.

These are 4mm steel, then zinc coated.
We can also powdercoat them after the zinc if required... $50 extra.
We would hope to offer the bash plate for around $200, engine guard at $150ish then a transfer case guard and maybe a fuel tank guard as well.

As far as what we will make available, we really need some help from your guys to work out what vehicles from the Navara line up are different.
Pardon my ignorance here, but we don't know much about Navara's except for how to recover them! Just kidding, good trucks and with that new V6 diesel I reckon they will steal a few good Hilux's boys.

So...

D40:
Dual Cab is different from King Cab.... Correct?
Are early Dual Cabs the same as new ones with the face lift in terms of bullbars and bash plates?

D22:
Are dual cabs the same as single?
Older Dual cabs with 3.2L diesel the same as newer ones with 2.5L

Lastly we will need to get our hands on some vehicles in Brisbane, BC's is based in Greenbank.

Ideally if we could get a D40 Dual Cab for a day we could measure for bash plates and sliders. We have access to a 2010 D22 already.

Anyway that is about it as a introduction, looking forward to getting to know all you Navara boys a bit better and bringing some cool products to the market.

Cheers
Matt

All BC's products are designed on CAD, then fine tuned on the vehicle before release to the market.

The quality of the welding and fabrication is second to none... this stuff is world class.

Here are some images of the welding done on a SAS kit we have for the Hilux... speaks for itself:

If anyone is seriosly considering a SAS on a D40 let us know... around March next year we will be looking for a donor vehicle...

One other thing...

INTERSTATE FREIGHT is no problem

Works out at about $10-15 per bash plate with Australia post.

Sliders no problem either... $50 - $100 depending on location.

Thanks for the interest in our potential products as well... very encouraging.

Matt,
I will be doing my annual 2 week migration north during the middle two weeks of April. Greenbank is probably only 1/2 hr drive from where i'll be staying.

I'm happy to donate my car for a day for measure up if need be, as the THAI and SPANISH vehicles are slightly different.

My vehicle details are Navara Dual Cab 2009 THAI built D40 RX ... PM me if your interested in having my vehicle for a day.

As far as I know all Jap built D22's should be the same on the chassis rails but the Thai built ones from memory have the brake lines running on the chassis.

Ill take a set of sliders.

Dave.

Cheers Matty,

If we can't get a car in brissy to get measured up i'll go for a drive, will be the middle of December by the time I get chance, i'll measure up against a dual cab too so we can find the difference.

I recon i'm going to use the needing proper seats for the bub as a good excuse to trade up to the V6Diesel, lets SAS that when i get it!

question - do you have to take the plate off to drain the oil or is there a portal for access? cheers

I would be keen on the sliders as I have ordered some Brown Davis plates. Any idea on what they would be worth? Im in Adelaide

Sliders are $800 plus delivery.

We will run a group buy for $750 delivered once we get one to measure up.

Cheers
Matt

Excuse ,my ignorance , but would a decent set of bash plates have a recessed area where the bolts do up , thus if you slide over a rock etc , the hea dof the bolt does not get sheared off ???.

I race quadbikes and the bashplates we use all have a recess in the plate which allows the bolt head to be slightly inwards from the plate face.

Does that make sense ??? maybe an idea to be entertained. ??

Cheers .
