Hi all

With regards the previous post [QUOTE="shan_b, post: 277602, member: 12366

I seem to have a similar albeit small surge issue that is not constant. I have an automatic gearbox on my 2014 stx 550 d40. Could the neutral position switch issue also apply to the auto trans? Seems very similar. Any feedback much appreciated. Cheers Chris

A small irregular surging is usually the result of an SCV that's either dirty or mid-failure. Happened on mine, one bottle of Liqui Moly Fuel System Treatment saw it right. Most injector cleaners are similar, but that's the one I used.

I have attached a picture bud. Can you please confirm that is the right product. Cheers Chris Also thinking it might just be worth replacing the SCV to be safe.

Hey all. Took Nav to dealer a few weeks back and they flushed the auto trans as they believed it may have been a gearbox issue. As I thought it did not remedy. Really starting to think it is the egr valve. Issue any happens when engine is cool and noticeable crap fuel economy. Spoke to a1 diesel injections who work for my company. They asked me how many kms has my v9x done, I told him.and he said about 95% of the time is in egr. I would concur with this but keen for your feedback. Dealer has tried to tell me to take to auto trans crowd but I told him given it is under warranty he would be much better just replacing egr than outlaying non existant trans repairs.

So I have to eat humble pie. I was wrong. Turns out it was the auto trans. Had a new torque convertor installed and the box given a good birthday and no more issues. Auto trans specialist advised that parts of the box internals can sometimes glaze up, similar to brake pads and this is what was causing the issue. Posted this as a potential help to others in future. Big shout out to Automatic Transmissions R Us in Balcatta for the great work.
