Does this sound a little rattly or am i being paranoid?
im currently trying to solve a loss of power when cold in the mornings and going over things tonight to me the engine sounds a bit rattly just after some opinions

Hey there,

That sounds as clunky as mine, although I've got nearly 440ks on mine.

Your power issue could be many things, bad fuel and filter, wet air cleaner, possibly even a leak on the intercooler. So so many things that can make that it could be....

Hey Ben,

Mine sounds pretty rough when I start it up on cold mornings as well. Runs sweet once I give it time to warm up but if I try drive it cold I can notice a lack in performance.

I’ve replaced the oil, fuel & air filters, done a full engine flush, run injector cleaner and lifter/ tapper fix through but had no success in silencing it. I’ve got it booked in with a diesel mechanic next week so will let you know what they find.
