Does a 2" lift kit affect the length of hoses on the engine? (Intercooler hoses)

Was looking at getting new plazmaman intake hoses for my stx550, but they reckon a body lift affects the hose length.

Can anyone else confirm?

installing a body lift will leave a slight kink in your charge hoses
i don't remember having any other problems

... removal of one end, slicing off about 50mm with a sharp blade and replacement saw them close enough to normal
