D40 V6 Diesel Automatic-Engine stalls when reverse or drive gear is selected.

Engine stalls when reverse or drive gear is selected. Has happened several times over a 2year period however, every time I take it back to the dealers they can’t find any problems.
I think it could be a switch somewhere. Can anyone throw some light on this pleeeeease thanks Des

If the dealer will not help, try a mechanic. Over the last year I had intermittent driving problems with 550. Eventually the EGR failed and it went into limp mode. We suspected the EGR had been the source of these problems. A good mechanic with connections to an auto electrician will sort it out.

Try clean your MAF sensor or it could be your suction control valve on your fuel pump - both of these (at separate times) caused my vehicle to stall or go into limp mode.
