Hi, another question from me.

2006 Navara Diesel YD-25 Engine - Starting Problem

I have a starting problem, here are the indications:
- New glow plugs since 2 days
- EGR is blocked
- After 30 starts, the engine finally runs
- If the battery is empty after starting 30 times, I continue with a starter battery, and later it starts.
- White smoke comes out of the exhaust
- The white smoke smells like Diesel
- Then when it finally run, it spins nicely and everything works perfectly.
- He drives as he should.
- If it then stands still for 3 hours, it is difficult to start again.
- After a night of standstill, I have to repeat the above procedure.

Grtz

are the glow plugs getting power?

if so, you may want to look at heating up the intake air first.
also make sure engine is turning over quick enough, especially with cold batteries.

I'd also try priming the fuel system (a lot) before starting. Poor starting after the car has been sitting for a while is also a sign of a small leak in the fuel system around the filter.
