As the title reads, some how I got the idea of doing this from someone on utube!
They're a good kit, a little expensive but they sit "to me" in a crapy position!
There's nothing out there for the D22! Anyone know of anything?

I'm thinking of making up some mounting brackets and fitting a set like this... well out of the way..

You could use one bracket that came with it!

I'll see if I can make/buy one and drill the mounting hole closer to the hood... I was thinking of nutcert and screwing a strut Pin directly into the hood,,, but,,,,, considering how many times I open that thing- I don't think they'd last! ;) thoughts?

And use a right angle mount on the fire wall both side! The one on the passenger side will sit a little higher, it "should" fit over the top of the filter.. should!

With the forward mount tucked up like that it should miss that and the battery - terminal on the drivers side- what's another earth, the nav will probably run better with an extra one! Whats one more! J.k

A few nutcerts and some nice brackets, job done.. well, not yet... Bunnings actually sell some, s.s too I think..

I'm limited to what I can do at the moment, I'm still free camping! A right angled drill would be nice to have eh don't know what I'm going to do to get the holes in there??? Front, that's easy! It's those lower firewall ones that will be a little tricky..

I've seen a few other makes of cars that have it set up like this..

Does anyone know if struts have an up a down placement? Ram top or bottom! It shouldn't matter should it? Thoughts?

Ooo racey red, I like ! ;) yeah, totally different than the d22 eh

I think I may have a position for them, just need to fab up some brackets.. cheers for the pics bud.. good stuff!
