D22 Duplex timing chain

Hello Folks

Great to be a part of this forum.
I have a D22, 2.5 TD, it looks a bit beaten up but i like it that way. Once I suss out to add photos I will do so.
Had this truck for 4/5 year and done nearly 100,000 miles mostly on road but off road when ever possible

The big end bearings where changed a couple years ago at about 120,000mls and the timing chain was changed for a duplex kit on roughly 100,000m
Im now at 180,000 and the chain started to make an awful noise, so had the chain and tensioners replaced but I am not confident with this one as it rattles on start up and doesn't stop until the temp goes up. once the oil pressure is good the noise go's away.

The question I would like to ask is, could this be due to a faulty oil pump ? or could it be a dodgy tensioner?
I will have to have a new chain and tensioner fitted as this has been going on for a few months.

Could any one tell me the best chain kit to go for, and if I could push my luck does any know a mechanic in either Norfolk, East Sussex or Kent who could do the works required. I live in Norfolk and work in Sussex/Kent.

You probably need to ask on a UK forum. This forum is mostly Australia & NZ.

I don't know about NZ, but we never had YD25 direct injection engines sold in Aust delivered cars. We had the YD25 as a common rail engine.

Two very different beasts!
