Thanks Josh, not long now.

All done, except for the studs for the wheel carrier ( which I seemed to have misplaced, so will have to get some more tomorrow) , just needs paint now.......

Deadly looking work mate! When you did the rear panel chop did you have to remove anything first? I am thinking of making a start on mine. If I make a start then at least one day I will finish it. If I never start it then it will never get done...

Hey mate, to do the rear quarter chip, obviously you've gotta remove the rear bar/bumper and the tow hitch, unplug and disconnect any and all electrics in the vicinity and make sure they're out of the way and you won't hit them with the grinder as you cut. Then you've got to remove the rear mud flap and all associated brackets etc and pull out the bottom few pins/screw on the inner guard of the wheel arch. It also pays to unclip the bottom few clips on the wheel flare itself.

Then simply mark it up and cut. I used some masking tape to mark the line of the cut across the wheel arch/flare. Then with steady hands do it all in one cut if possible. If you're not familiar with using an angle grinder, then either don't do it yourself, or get someone who is to do it.

I used a 4" grinder with a 1mm cutting wheel.

Cheers for the tips. I've already got my rear step off, that was stage 1 last year. Stage 2 will begin soon. Good tip with the electrical cables. Last time a did a cut like this was on the boat doing some restoration on the transom, I didn't see the transducer cable and went straight through it. That was an easy way to add $400 onto a job. Whoops

Well the bar is on and looking mighty fine. I have yet to write up any of the lights, because I've be been a bit lazy and ran out of time today to get to them, with all the other projects I've been doing to the truck.
