D22 chassis bracing/ strengthening

Anyone had any experience bracing their d22 chassis?
I've got a 2m long canopy on the back of my dual cab, only really use it to sleep in on camping trips, plus some extra camping gear but nothing crazy heavy still under gvm. but man she's got some overhang on her,
Don't do any serious off-road but still always afraid I'm gonna snap it in half.

Seems like there aren't any premade bracing plates

I've only ever seen chassis bracing made for airbag suspension. It's not normally something that's done - maybe it ought to be?

Chassis bending is usually an issue where a heavy towed trailer gets a decent swing at a towball that's sitting a long way back from the axle (long lever = more effect). Airbags have been known to exacerbate this problem, providing a nice firm pivot around which to bend the chassis. The chassis is designed to take loads at the suspension mount points and not in between - so they came up with the bracing.

That said, you might consider keeping heavier stuff towards the front and not (ever) have to worry about the chassis. That would also help with vehicle stability, particularly on loose surfaces.

your really meant to keep the weight position forward of and directly over the rear axle.
even just the weight of a extended deck on a double cab can cause problems.
best option is a roof tent setup, or a single cab.

chassis bracing etc you would have to see your guys rules over there. over here its a specialist job, no diy allowed.

I would love to see the axle weights with that setup, I would imagine that even with as little as 20kg at the back of the tray it would be lifting more than 50kg off the front axle.
