G'day,
I've got the Vg30 dual cab, and occasionally either the tacho and thermometer won't light up but the speedo and fuel gauge will, or the other way around. It rarely lights back up when after about a minute of driving, usually just stays dark until I start it again. Happens completely at random on start-up. It can also start and light up fine, then either the left or right side will go dark after a minute or two.
Plus when this started happening, the odo screen is just sorta showing half of each number (so cut a 5 in half for example).
The cluster itself works fine, even when the lights are out, and the lights are still plenty bright (when they work).
I'm assuming it's a grounding issue somewhere but I haven't got a clue on anything cluster wise, so I thought i'd toss a question up and see if anyone knows.
Again, It doesn't happen every time, but enough to worry about fixing it.
