Noticed this on her pre trip inspection!

Went to replace a blown bulb and found this! Seems the l.e.d bulbs are a little to warm for these indicators! Whoops!

Flea bay l.e.d's eh....

Wow, that's surprising for LEDs. I wonder if some moisture got into the driver circuit and caused it to self-destruct?
No idea bloke, I know nothing about electrics but they are known for leaking ... scarey though!

Always something eh

I've got some fuly sealed l.e.d indicator/parker ones coming that will fit into that space, it just means cutting and fabricating the original surrounding bracket ...

If I remove the section marked in white, these l.e.d ones will bolt up with/to the original mounting screws from behind... That way I keep the original surround and they are still recessed 40 to 50mm, and the real bonus is they'll be brighter and fully sealed.. well, that's the plan ;)

Ooo arrived today... on line shopping is brilliant, now if I can just get Au Post to drop stuff off and not have to go retrieve it from the post office I'd never leave home to shop again...
Seem ok, each light is a removable from the main housing too, how well they're sealed is a question! Not sure if they sell replacement units??

The lenses are different eh, anything to better the dreaded original Nissan lights is a win...

Easily removed, in fact they won't take to much pounding but you'd just "poo'em" back in place if the lugs broke..

They're definitely got that sealed look!

Be interesting to see how bright these babies are, being they come part like this you could use them anywhere in your fabrications.
The indicator has 9 led/ced and the clear 18. Very cool so far eh

Taadaaaa! Done mum!

Much better looking than the old type, nice and bright too... It'll be interesting to see how bright the parkers/running lights will be at night..

Second cuts and third move, use a hot sharpy blade to remove this section... This section is removed to allow for the thickness of the new light housing mounts - allowing it to be tightened down onto the bull bar.

I made these up yearrrrs ago because one of those plastic U shaped brackets had cracked... That's why the new light mount brackets where shortened, they hit the alloy bracket ..
