had an issue with the old D22 zd30 ute. the battery light used to take a bit of rpm before it goes out. now it doesn't go out.
notice i was getting low voltage on the battery light wire at the alternator.
the power gets there via a couple of resistors and the led battery light.
so dash apart, pull the gauge cluster apart and inspect the circuit board.

found the solder joins cracked on the resistors (the ones marked 201). a bit of solder later and now we have full voltage at the alternator pin.
is the alternator fixed,......... well thats another story.

Will be interesting to see if the light goes out at start up now, without needing a few revs.

Probably won’t. Any Navara I’ve ever been in or seen is pretty much 12-1500 rpm

My battery light is always on since I've had it. Voltage at alternator and battery is fine so I've just ignored it. Wonder if I've got the same problem with the circuit board.
