2004 Nissan Navara Venturer 3ltr Turbo Diesel Manual 4x4

Hi folks,I was passing/over taking another vehicle and the yellow engine light started flashing on and off,I pulled over 10kms down the road turned engine off and checked oil and water which were both fine,no over heating,turned key on and light still flashing,turned key off and then back on again and the engine light had stopped flashing.The vehicle drove normal with no noises,oil and water good.Any ideas what this could be???The flashing engine light does'nt do this any other time.
