I was just talking about this conversion for my 03 zd30.... I like.... be better with a blower on it eh :)

Tell us more bloke, conversion plates-who what where etc, is she still 4x4? Do you have to change the main shaft in the gear box? What did you do with the exhaust etc? What did it cost you?

How about a video! I'd love to see and hear it running!

I'm seriously thinking about this for mine! This is great, I want one!

Mate, don't know who did the conversion, but it's just original box with adaptor plate, 4x4 is still there and I probably should test it before I do too many more repairs. Exhaust looks to be original commy manifolds and cat, after that I've no idea.
Won't be any videos or sound recordings 'til I save up and get a reco motor, fixing the misfire turned out to be the most expensive option.
You're welcome to drop in and check it out, if you're over this way, it's not going anywhere for a while.:)

Man that's very good of you, and YES I'd love to see her... he'll yeah, I'm so keen for this conversion lol

I drove a comy wagon to N.S.W and back and was blown away by the fuel consumption compaired to the zd! What's yours like ?
Cheers

Oh, the gear box center shaft replacement may only be for the Auto boxes maybe! Dont know, just starting to read up on them... but I like it.... I want a blown one :)

Mob in Moree does conversions using Commodore Auto and adaptor shaft into Navara transfer case.
I've only driven my ute home unregistered, 300ks from where I bought it, was gunna fill it up when I got here and check economy, but by the time I got here I realised it wasn't going to be registered any time soon, so didn't bother.
You're right about Commodore economy, as long as you don't get to enthusiastic with the right slipper, I had a VS for a few years until I got bored with it, last 18 months I had it it did 60kms, decided I preferred to drive the gutless, thirsty, rough '89 Navara.
