    Just arrived

Well Deebs, I am guessing you are from Derby in WA (not the UK or some other locale) then your fuel consumption sounds fairly reasonable to me. If that is an average over a period of time and includes excursions off-road along the Gibb River Road or such like, that's not too shabby. Country...

    Horse Float Towing upgrade

I tow a 2T rated camper with my 2013 manual. It is great! What you need to assess is - * ATM or GTM and tare weight from the trailer VIN plate. * Weight on the tow ball (when fully loaded). GTM is the weight over the trailer wheels excluding the weight on the tow ball; ATM is the GTM plus TBW...

    Penrite vs Nulon Oils

Web copy from D40 diesel workshop manual. 5W-30 is the recommended viscosity. Without DPF, Castrol Edge 5W-30 A3/B4. Just be careful as there are different specs for with/without DPF.

    ANGEL EYES

Could they be worse than the original headlights? I don't know about any other ute headlamps, but the D40 would have to be down there with the worst. Deplorable performance in my view. If you are just fitting for the 'bling' perspective or sex appeal, then good luck. You are doing the right...

    Rims and Tyres

You need to know PCD of studs (should be the same), wheel diameter, offset of wheels, and tyre size. Once you have that info go to this web site and plug the info in and see what result you get...

Maybe the difference in kms is because I drive slow; tow my escape capsule to remote places; then only return home when the wife has a disaster to fix :) Thanks for the welcome.

    D40 loss of power/limp mode.

Yes, done that. Still going through some of the other 'improvements' I have installed looking for any bad connections or deterioration of separation. The trailer plug/trailer wiring and associated accessories are all 2 wire circuits without any earth returns (trailer wasn't connected at the time...

    D40 loss of power/limp mode.

Further info. Have tested the system with an OBDII to RS232 interpreter and no stored faults show up, No fault lights indicated during the brief period of the occurrence.

    D40 loss of power/limp mode.

Oldjoe again. Have searched the Nissan Navara workshop manual for any electrical connection to the stop light circuit that may provide some logical explanation (or even an indication) as to why the stop lights could be powered under an engine fault condition; or, the reverse scenario - brake...

Looks like I am doing everything back-to-front!! Have posted a query before introducing myself :) I am new to forums so forgive me. I am Oldjoe from Western Australia and I have a 2013/14 Navara D40 dual cab with 2.5 litre turbo 4 cylinder, manual transmission, heavier rear suspension, full of...

    D40 loss of power/limp mode.

Good question :). It is the 2.5 litre 4 cylinder turbo.

    D40 loss of power/limp mode.

Hi all, Oldjoe from WA here for the first time. Have read a lot of posts regarding the above issues and I have suffered this problem with my 2013/14 D40. First time was traced to the vacuum solenoid valve that operates the EGR valve. Simple remedy - carefully dismantled it (not designed to be...
