    Further update. I’m an idiot. Found a plug on the wiring harness had come out. Properly happened when taking out the old one . Works great now. 14.3 volts at idle. Thanks for the help anyways

    Update. Tried the smaller pulley .exact same voltage . 11.99 at idle with nothing on. I’ve checked all the fuses the connections don’t know what else to try

    It’s doesn’t have a clutch it’s free spinning. The larger one is on it now as that’s what it came with. The old one is the smaller one.

    It’s a jap built 2008 d22. The voltage is the same at the alternator as at the battery. And the new pulley is 84mm the old one was 70mm

    How would I check the clutch? It’s brand new so didn’t check anything. It did come with two different size pulleys . Could the larger size pulley be throwing the voltage off

    Ok I’m having a lot of trouble identifying where an oil leak is coming from . It’s a jap built yd25 d22. I checked the oil filter o ring and it’s fine . It’s pretty much brand new anyway and I lubed it with oil before fitting . The leak is coming out around the oil filter or cooler somewhere...

    How to keep a d22 with 386000kms on it going strong?

    Can’t speak for the patrol motors . Pretty sure same block different design. Cost is the most likely factor

    Speedo not accurate

    Don’t know about a fix but mine does exactly the same . It’s apparently pretty common with the d22s . There’s a few threads on here about it. Tyre size and different diff are pretty much your only option if I remember correctly. I just go ten kms over.

    Adding an intercooler and a free flowing exhaust will add to its life not reduce it.
