    Qd32 turbo sizing

Stock on the Td27t was, for my example at least, a Garrett tb25. 0.48 A/R on the compressor and dunno, believe 0.64 on the hot side. I was tossing up a few different options because 1) original turbos are bloody expensive (about Au $900 for a mamba copy and $2000 for a genuine Garrett. 2)...

    QD32, terrano II Intercooler?

Nope. The intake manifolds are different on the qd32 to td27, as is all the plumbing hanging off the intake side (like the power steering lines). It can be done, but most likely you either need custom plumbing made up between turbo and intake, keeping your standard intake. That's what i have done.

    Qd32 turbo sizing

Since i need to buy a new turbo anyway, would there be much difference in where the boost comes in between a 0.48 A/R and a 0.60 A/R? I know the boost will kick in later, but how much difference?

    ZD30 turbo manifold on a QD32

+1 to this. If you can get an early terrano 1 you can get the injector pump with compensator. Will save you the cost of getting a compensator added and will make tuning easier.

    ZD30 turbo manifold on a QD32

Denco sell a brand new one for about $400. Might be cheaper than getting one custom made. And may be easier to work on than the td27 one on a qd32. God knows it couldn't be much worse.

    D22 turbo dramas

I have installed a td27 turbo on the QD32 navara motor. Have had some issues, even after the turbo was rebuilt. Need some advice on two things. 1) Turbo. Looking to buy a new turbo that was used on the Rd28 and some overseas Td27's. Anyone forsee issues with this? It's still a TB25 with the...

    which tyres???

Geolander are really good directional mt's but a lot of people don't want directional in offroad situations. Wear rate is well below average but the best wet road muddies I have ever used. Hankook muds are not bad on wet roads either.

    which tyres???

Ko2 have a very poor reputation for sidewall staking. I'd go the General Grabber. Or should that be "Commander-in-chief" Grabber now?

    Rwc condition report

I got told (by my parents who live there) that NO car will pass a RWC without a new windscreen. Their car has a perfect windscreen and they were told they STILL have to replace it. This is from the Ford dealer who serviced it its entire life and just sold them a new Territory. I'm worried what...

D22 Air Con Sensors help please

Sounds like the "triple pressure switch". I think it cannot be removed/replaced without a/c gas escaping. I need to replace mine after my recent trip, so will speaking to an auto elec tomorrow about it.

D22 smooth tailgate for sale or swap

My experience has been no-one has noticed the slight difference of curvature between the tailgate and the tub sides unless you point it out. Looks heaps better. Might be enough to cause dust ingress though, although the majority of that will come from the unsealed bottom between the tailgate...

    WtB QD32/Td27 Turbo bits

Have a qd32 I want to turbo to help me pull a van. Also my mate has my old d21 and he wants to turbo that too. Anyone got bits, or know about adapting ZD30 bits?

D22 smooth tailgate for sale or swap

They are interchangeable as I just put a late 2.5 CR StR tailgate on my Series 1 D22. The differences are that the later one is thinner and rounded at the top, and the early series has a welded in bolt in the bracket, the later uses bolts. You probably need both the tailgate AND the brackets...

Comment by 'Dirty Trix 2' in media 'Just some sunday fun'

Given someone just died at Summernats from travelling in the back of a ute it's an unfortunate reminder. What once was common and a "bit of a larf" is no longer so. The world has moved on, both for good and bad.

so what does everyone do for a job?

Sadly giving out my job sorta gives out my employer as it's a pretty small field. That's no longer something i am in the habit of doing (learnt from early facebook). I drive heavy machinery. I used to work in the port of brisbane.

255's are still a 10 inch wide tyre. Depending on what year milkman has it could be 50 mm wider than stock.
