    Rear Axle Seals

I found my rear oil seals leak at round 130K ( I think this is fairly common fault for a D23). The dealer only replaced the seals but need to replace the rear brake shoes (original) , as they were contaminated with oil......... drums where OK to use again after a degrease and skim.

    SeatBelt Warning Light

My 2021 ST-X is having a similar issue. If a left side rear passenger attempts to insert there seatbelt into the middle seats anchor position the dash warning sign and chimes show someone is in the middle seat and not anchored securely, even though there is no one or item placed in the middle...

    NP300 and towing.

Hi Tony, Maybe I should have explained my weight calculations a bit clearer. When we left the dealership (picking up the van) in Victoria, we had all ready loaded the van with food, water, generator, clothing and all other travel gear ready for a 4 night trip. We then had the van weighted down...

    NP300 and towing.

Hi Amber, Some first hand experience that might help... I have also added poly air bags with factory standard suspension to my 2015 ST-X 4x4 Auto, fitted Bendex 4x4 ultimate front pads using the factory disc’s, added a 2nd battery with a redarc BcDc 25 amp charger. Redarc elite pro brake...

    Throttle controllers

Hi Erica’s, thanks for the quick reply, I asked the question as i feel the D23 is a great ute, but is tuned to a more economical focused drive and I like the idea of having the option of selecting a quicker engine response. I must say, that I haven’t heard a bad word about the idrive unit from...

Has anyone fitted an idrive throttle controller to their D23 ST-X Auto 4x4, and if so any feedback?

    NP300 First Impressions?

Hi Brampton, the clutch fan was replaced at Rockdale Nissan Sydney, no cost to myself. Sorry they didn't supply me with the part number. But I would assume, if one dealership can resolve the noise issue all dealerships should be able to access the part number information from Nissan Australia by...

    NP300 First Impressions?

Hi mbramston, the dealer apparently contacted Nissan Australian and they gave them a different part number to order from overseas, other than the standard clutch fan part member listed in the parts schedule. Believe me I was very relieved once I picked up the car with no fan noise on take off.

    Np300 stx vibration

Vibration at 105 kph Hi D23, I purchased a STX in January and also had a vibration at 105 kph. Took straight back to the dealer and it was fixed straight away. They said that they found a fault when hooked up to a diagnostic machine. Apparently there was a loose sensor ? Now no vibration.

    Check your ODO

Hi Narathenavara, I have D23 STX auto and run standard 18" tyres. I have checked the actual speed using a GPS system and found the speedo is +3 kph out at all speeds. Also have now travelled 12,000 kms and always recorded my fuel consumption. My average actual fuel usage ( the cars display is 8...

    Bfg ko2's

Bought a set of 16" NP300 ST rims and fitted BFG A/T KO2's 16 x 265 x 70 (same diameter as my 18" factory tyres). Purchased the tires from BJ for $290 each. I find the tyres very quiet and have excellent grip on the dirt and the highway. Very happy with my purchase.

    Yellow Box Speedo Recalibrator

I fully agree with b1benno, I have travelled now 6700 kms in my STX auto actual / measured fuel usage is averaging 8.5 l/100kms (vehicle displays around 7.6 l/100 km ) being 70 % Sydney city & 30% highway, I do consider very good for 2 ton ute. My tip though, is as soon as the low fuel warning...

    Digital speed display

Hi all, this may help, I purchased a Beuler digital temperature meter with remote sensor found on eBay (see photo). Took awhile to find a supplier that would sent to Aus. I have fitted this to my car a couple of weeks ago. Took about 90 minutes to install. Placed outside sensor behind front...

any warranty issues fixed or palmed off

Not a big issue for me, I find that if I hold the wash on for an addition couple of seconds my windscreen is cleaned. At least I don't spray the car behind, as I hate people cleaning their windscreen when I am travelling either beside or behind their vehicle.

My impressions/review of the np300 so far.

Check steering on my D23 4x4 ST-X, lock to lock is 3.75 turns. Manual states turning circle is 12.4 Meters, I believe that is the same as the new Hilux and less than the new Ranger and Amarok. Steering is on the firmer sided but still a real joy to drive.
