Yep, as above, the viscous fan is incredibly powerful, it can move A LOT of air. If you wanted to go the electric fan route, you would probably have to increase the radiator size and fit a couple of electric fans. Not a easy mod.

Unfortunately it can be a bit of a blind hunt if you don't get a ECU code that points you in the right direction.

A OBD2 adapter will give you the fault code and much better idea where to look for the problem. I believe there is also a speed sensor on the gearbox which could be the problem.

This is how mine looks on 2013 ST Left pipe intake, middle pipe goes to turbo (has a little green filter ?? in the pipe), right hand pipe goes to the engine / vacuum source. Is this what you were after ?

It's more likely to be wiring rather than the sensor itself, start at the sensor and inspect all the wiring from all the ABS sensors on each wheel. If all the wiring looks good, check all the 'gears' that the abs sensor looks at to make sure they are clean and look as you would expect.

Are you referring to the 1 second or so of rattle you get on a cold start ? They do that from brand new, it does use a oil-pressure chain tensioner, so it makes sense that it has to build pressure before it will tension the chain. $3k is a lot of cash if it doesn't need doing, would be...
