Don't suppose anyone has a photo of the setup for a ZD30 purge? There was a separate thread that seems to be deleted! Keen to give it a crack this weekend!

Got up early this morning and ripped the radiator out before work. The fins above the A/C condenser was full of grass seeds and rubbish! Overally about 1/4 of the fins would have been blocked enough to restrict airflow! Gave it a good flush and replaced the hoses. Won't get a chance till...

Been trying to sort out some overheating issues with my Nav. While flushing the radiator last night, I noticed one of the vacuum hoses had crushed. I've attached a drawing of the hose in question. As this solenoid connects to the EGR actuator, I'm assuming it was causing it to stick wide open...

Thanks amber.2! I'll check the thickness of the core before I put it in for a clean. I'm on the fence to just replace the radiator anyhow... $270 for a 36mm Koyo delivered. What's everyone's thoughts... get the original cleaned or a Koyo? Really think $900 for a genuine Nissan is overkill!

Cheers all! If it cools down tonight enough I'll rip the bash plate off so I can get into the bottom radiator hose and try and feel the spring thing! If that feels dodgy, I'm gonna rip out the radiator so I can give it a good reverse flush, clean the fins properly etc then replace the radiator...

Thanks d22dave, Would have been a bargain, except it'll cost me a mint to freight it! Still keen for opinion's on the ebay radiators... worth a shot or are they just gonna be crap?

Cheers fourocker.... I read about the spring thing in the hose somewhere else... where is it? The bottom hose is weird... like it's too parts or something... so it the spring part near the radiator end or the thermostat end? (Or all the way through?) I couldn't get my hand down to the bottom...

I should also add, the the current radiator has a Calsonic made in Japan sticker on it... I assume that's a pretty good way of judging it's the original one!

Hi All, Been having some temp problems with my '04 ZD30 Nav. Runs fine until I go over 2500rpm on the highway then the temp gauge starts rising. I've put in a high flow thermostat, chemically flushed the cooling system and put good 50/50 glycol coolant back in and not much difference. Also...

Hmmm..... more investigations this weekend! I did blow out some grass seeds with the compressor and hose.... might get the pressure cleaner onto it and see if I can get much more out! Burped the radiator again for good measure and seemed to get a small amount of air from the cooling system...

Hi all, I'm having a pretty similar problem with my 04 D22. Normally the temp gauge sits on about half way, sitting on 115km however last couple times I've been on a decent drive, the temp creeps to about 2/3. I didn't think this was a problem, however the air con is cutting out once it hits...

I use Delo 400 and she loves it! Bought it direct from the local Caltex depot for $85 last time.

Cheers Rumpig! I've got a 2004.... the water inlet is on the drivers side. I found the page in the manual (must have missed it before!) Looks like a pain in the ass... gotta remove the drive belts and idler pulley?? Fingers crossed I can just remove the inlet from below without pulling...

Hi All, Silly question, where's the thermostat on these things? Had a look and can't see an obvious location! Figure it's easier to ask before I start pulling things apart trying to find it!

I've gotta say I'm pretty happy with my Cooper LT AT/3's! Had them on for about 10,000km and they still look new! They've done about 50/50 on and off road. Off road has been about 50% sand, 25% mud, 25% rock. Followed a mate with Federal Couragia MT's through the high country and kept up...
