Picking up my auction winnings tomorrow morning!

Always good to know the voltage, if kept charged and they don't get too hot batteries should last for 5-10 yrs, I put this little turbo timer in mine, it fits perfectly into the slot in the bottom LH dash panel HKS STYLE BLACK TURBO TIMER BLUE LED TYPE 0 EVO STI WRX RX8 G35 G37 UNIVERSAL...

    Remote Central Locking

I might be wrong but think you would only need a to put a solenoid on the drivers side which would act like using the key at least thats what the 2008 here had, didn't notice one on the other one when I changed the windows over but wires go out into the door. Should be able to just send power to...

    Remote Central Locking

Have a 2011 that never had remote locking but two others here 2008 and 2009 had been fitted with aftermarket ones, the 2008 never had the remote button so after throwing it all in a box after stripping or partially stripping so far, had to go to a locksmiths for another key and left it with...

Picking up my auction winnings tomorrow morning!

Yeah never bought from them but have followed a few on there to get idea of prices etc just seems a bit casual when they list "does engine start= yes or no"? esp with no warranty but ok if you can test or inspect but we are 200+k's from nearest centre. Mind you Pickles aren't much better...

    Hi, everyone. Newbie from Philippines

Yes but that means you need to start engine prior to setting up the GPS and leave it running when you stop to keep GPS on, have a Nissan android head unit for the GPS in mine which is triggered by the acc lead but even so would probably just use that anyway if I had a standalone GPS, also you...

    Hi, everyone. Newbie from Philippines

Just wondering why you need the oil pump wire for the GPS? rather than any other acc? wire

    Interior heater not warm?

IMHO they have a terrible coolant system and very prone to airlocks but did refill according to the manual (slowly) on one here and it seemed to fill ok but the other one had to refill three times to finally clear the airlocks. If you look at the supply to the heater it goes from the engine...

    D22 ECU

Working under mine tomorrow but pretty sure the flex fitting is not there on the one I am working on so will look at the other, silly place to put it hey. I did glance at it earlier as I remembered this thread, but mine is in the open away from the rear mount strut anyway.

    D40 - D22. Chalk and cheese

Re the heater resistor, if you have it out it may be that the dollop of solder has melted, this should be an easy fix and if there is something that caused the original dollop to melt it will do it on a new one but mine didn't, re theft I don't lock anything but yeah having a pig dog seems to...

replaced head gasket on 08 d40

Probably no fuel to injectors, I disconnected the return line and then forced fuel through from filter intake till fuel came out return line then it fired mainly because the hand primer was stuffed which should do it anyway.

    3" Exhaust

Certainly not a good spot to work in, probably easier to take the whole manifold off if they are too tight.

    3" Exhaust

No rear engine mounts are easy provided the nuts come off easy, had to cut two of mine off, front ones are a lot harder but none broken here although they are very soft it seems to rely on the rear two to stabilise which is probably why they break.

    3" Exhaust

At least one of the 3" pipes here are DEA and even without pushing the firewall back a little there is clearance without knocking provided the rear engine mounts and body mounts are ok, I just wanted a bit more in case the rear mounts collapsed again, out of 3 vehicles all six were shot.

    D22 ECU

Mine was rattling but after running a fuel/injector cleaner through it, no more rattle and much smoother but took two tanks to work. Also with the 3" pipe it runs a little close to the first strut after the body on the dual cab, on another vehicle here I did make a small bracket to move the rear...

    Any difference in the years?

I believe the 2008 models were made in Japan due to the Tsunami in Thailand, gearboxes at least for the hilux were also affected at that time, I have or now have one in bits a 2008 D22 and IMHO it is far better made than the Thai one unfortunately mine had some minor damage to the chassis and...

    3" Exhaust

Maddon if your dump pipe rattles on your firewall especially in hard reverse would definitely check your body mounting rubbers, they are all easy except the ones below the hinges on the front doors which have a mongrel plastic cover that is hard to remove to access the head of the bolt, if you...

    3" Exhaust

I had the bonnet off at the time of fitting the exhaust as reconditioned the head at the same time so pushing the firewall back after checking I wasn't going to damage anything on the other side was easy although a bit agricultural used a full size heavy crowbar and prised it back so there is...

    New D22 Owner from SA

I have two with 3" pipes on them and both were too close to the firewall, pretty hard to see how they could not be but the previous owner tapped the pipe in and when I swapped the system from another to the one it's in now I pushed the firewall back which was the easiest. Of the three D22's here...

    !2v Socket in tub

If you are going to run a seperate positive to the back can I suggest a heavier one either 6mm auto or better 6b&s so if needed at any time later it can be used for spare battery, trailer, fridge etc etc. Old Tony I may be wrong but think that red wire is a low power source which on some double...
