Thanks in advance , quick question the engine oil spec for above is 5w30 fully synth c3 low ash , ok ,
Could I use a 5w30 fully synth b5 spec , unsure how this may if at all effect dpf or any other of these high tech bits we now seem to have
Would be changing it every 5k

Higher ash oils will - through blow-by and subsequent combustion of the oil vapour that also passes through the PCV - cause an increase in the material being caught by the DPF. That's the primary reason for the specification of the C3 oil.

You could fit a catch can to reduce the amount of oil passed through the PCV to the engine's intake. As long as you remember to empty the catch can regularly, you'll reduce the oil levels being combusted.

You'll notice I said reduce - not remove. Even the best catch can in the world can't remove every oil particle. Some will still get through.

B5 is absolutely not suitable for engines with DPF.
